Bamboo Lacrosse Shafts? You Bet!

We noticed that there was some interest in creating a bamboo lacrosse shaft. While the interest didn't seem serious to most, we thought, why not? So we got to thinking about how you could make a shaft out of bamboo that would actually work AND that someone would want to use in a game. We tried a few different prototypes, sent out a few field test shafts and d-poles and made some tweaks based on our tester's feedback.

How it all Started

HIKSTIK got it's start during the Summer of 2007 when we made our first wood shaft. The first one was pretty cool, but we thought we could do better. After a little more research and trial and error we were able to make a wood lacrosse handle that we thought someone might actually want to buy. Out of that group of shafts, we sent them out to some Lacrosse Forum friends to test and give us feedback. Results were mostly positive. A few minor tweaks and we were on our way to producing our first shafts for sale; and we have been busy ever since.
